DBT-informed, experiential therapy focused on real-life change-
helping clients & families move with life’s tides, not against them
Let’s connect for a 15-minute phone consultation to explore whether we’re a good clinical match.
Welcome to 1117.
Life can feel overwhelming when your mind is carrying more than it was ever meant to hold.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can become a place to slow down, understand what's happening, and begin moving forward with greater confidence.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies like DBT, while recognizing that meaningful change isn't about trying harder—it's about creating conditions where your brain, body, and environment can begin working together.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
You just have to know where your feet are today.
Together, we'll build skills, strengthen self-trust, and create a path that helps you return to what matters most.
I hope that when you leave this website, you don't just understand what I do—I hope you already feel a little lighter.
🌊 Skills Training
In skills sessions, we build DBT tools you can use the same week: mindfulness to steady the mind, emotion regulation to lower intensity, distress tolerance to get through storms, and interpersonal effectiveness to communicate clearly.
Each meeting ends with a doable practice plan so progress is visible and measurable.
🌅 Individual Therapy
Individual sessions help you recognize what pulls you off course while strengthening the skills that keep you grounded as life shifts.
When we focus on identifying patterns, building practical coping skills, and creating meaningful change—while holding space for both acceptance and growth.
🌤 Parenting Support
Parenting sessions translate therapeutic interventions into real-life routines—coaching caregivers on validation, limits, and repair so your family can ride the tides together. We can meet with your child present or separately.
Together, we create family home contracts to foster independence & build consistency- reducing the power struggles that often arise in daily life..
With permission, I collaborate with teachers, school teams, and pediatric providers to keep everyone rowing in the same direction.
Mindfulness in Nature
Sometimes the most powerful therapy room is outdoors. Whether it’s sunshine, rain, or wind, I have held mindful walking sessions near the lake, or awareness practices for exposure .
By noticing the weather exactly as it is, you’ll begin to practice radical acceptance — a reminder that, just like the weather, life’s challenges can be faced with openness and curiosity vs judgment.
“The world is a giant pool of moving vibrations,
waves of energy emitted from all beings.
when we cultivate our minds,
we cleanse our personal vibe.
we reclaim our power by not yielding to what flows around us
and by allowing what is within us to come forward.
remember, the energy you most often repeat
is the energy you will most easily connect with.
your vibration is always shining
and affecting your environment.”
